The building was really old, damaged and in some parts nasty and unfunctional. Each unit was too small for the owner’s business targets and there seemed a lot of alteration and renovation needed in the entire building. Time framing of the project was also too tight and since about half of the units were still occupied by their tenants and under contract with them, the scope was really complicated and hard to reach.
We started the building survey and measurements while some parts of the building were seriously damaged due to heavy rains and storms. The piping system was also broken in different units and the lighting was not working properly as well. After taking all required measurements and performing the Architectural building survey, we started the design process by considering small spaces of each unit to be remodeled as a good competition with the other residential facilities of the Buckhead area.
Some of our design suggestions such as using barn-doors for the study spaces and elegant materials and interior design methods became effective solutions that helped the owner to remodel his property with reasonable cost and time frame. Since the property is located in Buckhead area, it was necessary to be considered as an affordable and reasonable option for people who seek to live in that area. We made a good balance between the project owner’s timeline, his budget, and the area’s requirement of a residential complex to be a great help to meet the client’s business goals.
