The project’s purpose was to provide at least 10 rental spaces for food truck owners as preparation spaces. Per the health department regulations, while all food truck owners MUST cook their foods in their trucks right before selling to their customers, they also NEED to have a space for washing and cutting their ingredients prior to cooking in the trucks.
Bavard kitchen is a growing Atlanta-based food truck business with a good reputation that provides required spaces and equipment for food truck owners. All of the spaces and equipment provided by Bavard Kitchen are based on the most current standards, regulations, and building codes of the city of Atlanta. ArchiPars designed their first and second rental building.
It seemed quite challenging when the client first asked for combining an office for himself, with at least 10 rental spaces for food truck owners. Add special security concerns and specific requirements of the business owner to this scenario, all to be located at a 4000 Sq. Ft existing building which was formerly an office space. We had a lot of meeting for this project at the schematic design phase to understanding and altering the client’s needs and eventually, we designed his desired spaces as an initial stage for the next branches.
